A recent Transition Year innovation has been awarded a €500 STEM grant from WWETB. The students, led by Eimer Cowman, will be investigating the effect of different coloured plastic coverings on seedling germination and growth. The TY students are eager to get to work on this interesting project in our school polytunnel. The report will be published in the inaugural WWETB Science Journal next March. Congratulations are extended to Ms. Finn and her TY Horticulture students. Eimer is pictured above being congratulated by Ms. Finn and school principal, Jay Murphy.
